Bouganvillea y conejo

Bougainvillea y conejo Lápiz HB, 3B, grafito en papel Canson
Bougainvillea and rabbit HB, 3B pencils, graphite on Canson paper

Bougainvillea and Rabbit

This is a bougainvillea flower I picked up before we entered my son's classes. The rabbit came from a magazine while I was waiting for him at other classes (I was alone, I had no 'public', just in case :)

Bougainvillea are so pretty. My mother grew them when we lived in Orlando, Florida. She grew them in her patio and would go there to drink her morning coffee. I hadn't thought about that for a long time. Nice memory for me. It's a different story about the rabbit - we have them here and they sneak into our vegetable garden and eat the young leaves. Melissa and I don't bother too much about that. Our dogs' barking doesn't seem to bother them. Sometimes I think that the rabbits are teasing the dogs.

GOOD JOB - as usual.

Two lovely drawings Carolina, I like that you don't overdo the rendering - very effective. :)

Beautiful sketches. Great detail and softness about them. I can see from your drawings that you are a biologist. Your drawings of plants are so detailed and gorgeous. You are a very accomplished artist.

Hola Ken!
Yes, they're so pretty, gorgeous colors. Thanks for sharing your memories (I'm glad they showed up in part because of the sketch :)
Gee, I didn't know rabbits were such a burden, sorry to hear about that... I had a rabbit once, as a pet, and it was pretty brave, I must say (he even roared, believe it or not!). We had to give it to a professional breeder when he started to bite! (never to me, but to the rest of the family...)
That was many years ago...
Thank you for your comments, Ken
Best regards,
Carolina

¡Hola Marisol!

Hola Janet!
Thanks so much for your words. I don't overdo I guess because I only have an hour or so to do them hehe(very infrequetly I give them a second chance at home, but the lighting is different, so it's really not easy). I wonder what I would do if I gave each of them more work and attention until I could call them done...
Thank you so much again, and see you around!

¡Hola Mar!
Muchos saluditos amiga,
Carolina

Hello Carolina,
Very nice drawing of the flower. On holiday in Madeira, I used the Bouganvillea seedhead for a pencil study.
Your drawing is very accurate and delicate and I do think you are well suited to botanical drawings. The rabbit looks good too, sorry I can't enlarge to see detail.
Best wishes
