Segundo dibujo botánico

Granada enana (Punica granatum nana) Dwarf Pomegranate
Pencil on Canson paper 15 cm x 15 cm aprox. - appx. 6" x 6"

Second botanical drawing
This is actually the first drawing that I have done in 2010, two days ago, again not at home (during a visit to my parents). A dwarf pomegranate I took from a garden of the neighborhood. And today, that my son's classes will start again, I'm taking my drawing stuff to use them once again there. It seems that doing it (drawing) at home is the hardest thing to achieve, why is that?
Well, in about two days this blog will be one year on the cyberspace. I have been thinking a bit about what it means to me, so I hope to include something about that on the next post.
A big hug for everyone :)

Another fine drawing with nice detail Carolina. Maybe it's hard to draw at home because there are too many other distractions? Like the washing, cleaning, cooking, etc....?! A whole year of blogging huh? Congratulations and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it :)

Hi Carolina. I like your pomegranate drawing. I wondered what you were up to! Good things come to us that wait. :-)

Drawing at home is difficult because you're a wife and a mother. You put them first then take care of yourself. It's a curse! :-) My late wife did this and Melissa does this. But, Melissa is learning that I can fend for myself quite well when she wants to go somewhere with a friend or by herself. She still says that she feels guilty, I tell her to "get a grip"!

Take a day for YOU. It'll be OK once your family figures it out.

End of lecture! :-)
Keep drawing, I'll catch up (hah hah hah hah hah) if you don't do it! NOT BLOODY LIKELY!

Hi Janet!
Thanks a lot for your nice comment :) Well, my main chores are actually serving as a driver for my kids (I'm always getting in and out of the house), some of the other chores keep me busy only on weekends (I've got help). I guess I don't find too much time and space at home most of all because I need peace and quiet to concentrate... well...
Thanks a lot again, let's see what I come up with for the next post (I am suddenly feeling a liiiitle pressure, mmm)
Best regards,
Carolina

Hi Ken!
I'm so glad you liked it :) What I was up to was desperation to draw again, but couldn't find the time (and decision at some point). Whatever...
I understand Melissa pretty well, I guess. I'm even feeling guilty right now for not being as dedicated as you (and Janet) think I am :I
I think you're really blessed to have someone so dedicated to you as Melissa is... tell her I said hello :)
Thanks a lot again my friend, and best regards,
Carolina

Carolina

Your work is magnificent! In your bio you say that you are a little of a perfectionist. I can see that you are very meticulous in your renderings, which is great for this type of subject (and any other too) ;o)
Just wonderful work! Love it!
Christine

PS: Thanks for putting my blog into your reading list! I'll add yours to mine also.

Hi Christine!
Thanks so much for your words, I feel, though, 'magnificent' is something I haven't achieved yet :)
I'd say you're quite a person reader! Have you studied psycology?
Thank you for putting my blog on yours, that's very nice of you...
Best regards,
Carolina

HOLA, ME GUSTA MUCHO SU DEDICACIÓN A LA BOTÁNICA Y SU HABILIDAD PARA EL DIBUJO. LA FELICITO, SIGA ADELANTE Y VERA QUE EN EL FUTURO PODRÁ TENER MAS TIEMPO PARA DEDICARSE A LO QUE LE GUSTA DE LA NATURALEZA. SALUDOS DESDE COBÁN, ALTA VERAPAZ, GUATEMALA... Otto Josué Pérez.
