Sigo Ocupada

Igual me gusta mucho.
I'm Still Busy
I'm still busy, and I think that's not going to change soon :) I've been a little bit down and discouraged about art God knows why, but it's over now, well, it's going away. I now know that I won't be able to do anything too complex any time soon, but I'll go back to drawing on the car or at the waiting rooms of my kids' classes. There's only a few people there and they already know me, so there's not much problem. I even show my drawing at the end (that's what I did with this doggy). I did this drawing with no rush and enjoying every stroke, in two sittings at a waiting room. The model: from a pet magazine. The eyes ended up a little bit smaller than the original, and I think the ears are not exactly balanced, but... whatever. I still like it a lot.
My blog entries (and my visits to yours) will still be distant, unless something happens that helps that to change. But I'l be here anyway. Thank you for being there friends.

Guau! Qué perro más bien hecho. Qué buena la textura de los pelos. Y su expresión, perruna perruna.
Me gusta, me gusta.

I'm sorry that you were/are "down". It seems to happen when people get too busy with day-to-day living, doesn't it?

Very good doggy drawing! I think that you are definitely much too hard on yourself. I suppose it comes with being an artist, though.

We love you no matter what, so keep remembering your "fans". :-)

Hi Carolina, I'm sorry to hear you have been a little down and 'out of sorts' with your art. Don't worry, it's part of being human and being an artist. Just be good to yourself (important!)and draw when you feel like it.

Un gran abrazo x

¡Hola Marisol!
Muchas gracias!

Hi Ken!
I was, I've been, mostly on the art-side. Like a lack of motivation to paint, I felt my skills were too basic (I want everything right now!). After this break, I can enjoy doing what I do again. So it's OK now. Only little time left but I can handle it.
Thank you for your nice words about the drawing and everything else. I love you too!!!
Un abrazote!

Hi Janet!
thank you so much for your words, those are the up and downs normal to life, as you say. I can't agree more with you!
Send you a big hug!

Hello Carolina,
Well you brighten up my day each time I find your lovely comments.
I hope you just enjoy what you do, it is hard finding time for youself as a mother with young children, you always put everyone else first.
Your pencil drawing is confident, sensitive and it shows your skill.
Thank you for your comments, I really appreciate them from my Peruvian friend.
Best Wishes Millyx

Saludos

Hi Carolina,

I think we all understand what it feels like to be at a point of discouragement. Perhaps seasoned artists even feel like it sometimes too. The joy of drawing and learning will return, of that I am certain. Just allow yourself to take a break and do some other enjoyable things, but always somehow stay connected with your art. You are doing so wonderfully, and I can see you excel to a very high level of accomplishment in art.

Hugs,
Christine

Carolina, sorry to hear your in a slump. But it looks like you're certainly at the tail end of it. The dog rendering is gorgeous and I don't see the "mistakes" you mentioned. Keep on drawing! that's the only way to get out of a slump.

Carolina dijo...

Hi Milly!
I am so glad to know about that (the comments thing :), thank you for mentioning it...
I'm feeling more confident now than before when drawing, I hadn't thought about that, thanks for bringing that up! It's interesting to know it shows somehow.
And thank you for your so kind words.
A very big Peruvian hug for you :)

Hi Christine!
New avatar! I like it!
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a nice piece of advise. I'm OK now about art, I think. But I'm busier than ever (should I stay quiet about this? mmm, every time I say this on my blog life gets a little bit more complicated...! Busier, but OK, not to worry :)
Thank you so much again and hugs to you too,
Carolina

Hi Wil!
I'm OK now, just busier and not able to find the time to do something, but OK :) Thank you for your concern. I'll try to follow your advise, never tried to do that (when this happens, I just stop and wait). That sounds like a sensei advise, isn't it?
Un abrazo,
Carolina
