..............

And this is the reason why I don't do human figure

Here is my self portrait. I was happy enough with it, because I do recognize the resemblance, haha, and my painting teacher says it's not bad. But kids sincerity is something else: "who is this?", my niece says, "mmm, I don't know who this is", that's my daughter... it makes me laugh, and confirms why I'm not so into the human figure subject...

But my beautiful son said "it all looks like you, it only needs to be painted". That saved the day :)

Very nice work, nothing harder than catching a likeness in a portrait. Last year while learning to do portraits I painted my niece, carried it out to show her and she said "is that you". Oh well, we just have to keep at it.

Hi Barbara!
I am so grateful for your kind comment :)
Yes, this is something to keep practicing. I just feel like doing something else in the meanwhile, but I know human figure is a must that I will have to face seriously sooner or later.
Thank you again :)

Muchos saludos,
Carolina

No seas tan injusta con tu autorretrato. Ya quisieran muchos dibujar así un retrato. No abandones.

Carolina
