¡Gracias Milly y Feliz Cumpleaños Ken!

¡¡¡Hoy es un día muy especial, por que es el cumpleaños de mi amigo Ken Barklay (del blog Ken Barclay - - Avocaken )!!! Y quiero dedicarle este post a él y desearle el mejor cumpleaños que pueda pasar, junto con su esposa Melissa. ¡Muchos saludos desde el Perú!

Y también quería compartir con todos el precioso dibujo que ven en este post. Era el premio sorteado entre los que dejásemos comentarios en el blog de Milly (Drawings from Nature), y que YO GANÉEEE!!! Me he emocionado por esto ya como trecientas veces, pero no puedo dejar de ponerme feliz cada vez que lo recuerdo. ¡Qué puedo hacer, me emociono facilmente! Gracias de nuevo Milly.

Today is a special day, because it is the birthday of my friend Ken Barklay (from the blog Ken Barklay - - Avocaken)!!! And I want to dedicate this post to him and wish him the best birthday ever, together with his lovely wife Melissa. Lots of greetings from Peru!

And I would also like to share with all of you the precious painting that you see on this post. It was the giveaway price for those who left a comment on Milly's blog (Drawings from Nature), and that I WON!!! I have been feeling excited about this like a million times, but I can't stop feeling happy every time I remember it. What can I do, I am an emotional person! Thank you again Milly.

Me he inscrito en clases de pintura y desde que lo he hecho he tenido un reforzamiento importante en mi auto-confianza, me siento más tranquila y más cómoda pintando, pinto más y lo disfruto como nunca.

Lo curioso es que las clases recién comienzan mañana. De haber sabido que las clases me harían tanto bien, me hubiera matriculado hace mucho (aunque no hubiese tenido tiepo para ir, ¡já!)*

Mientras tanto pongo este pequeño ACEO. Una conchita que pinté, esta vez no de una foto sino de un modelo natural, que tengo en casa. Es un pequeño reconocimiento al magnífico blog Drawings from Nature, de Milly, me encantan las cosas que ella hace, me recuerdan mis épocas universitarias...

*Mañana veré si el sentimiento continua, o si me tengo que preocupar otra vez. (Y las clases serán de pintura al óleo, porque por estos lares los lápices de colores no están tan difundidos, todavía al menos). ¡¡¡Ya no puedo esperar!!!

I have enrolled in painting classes, and since then I have felt an important reinforcement of my self-confidence, I feel calmer and more comfortable when painting, I paint more and I am enjoying as never before.

The thing is, classes start tomorrow. If I had known classes would do such good to me, I would have enrolled long ago (even if I had no time to attend, ha!)*

In the meanwhile, I’m posting this ACEO. A small shell I painted, this time not from a photo but from a natural model that I have at home. This is a little recognition to Milly’s magnificent blog, Drawings from Nature. I love the things that she does, they remind me of the old days at college.

*Tomorrow I’ll see if the feelings go on, or if I have to worry again. (And classes will be about oil painting, because around here, CPs are not well known, at least for now) I just can’t wait!!!!!
