Hoy toca abalorios

Abalorio 001

arete y abalorio 001

Y estoy estrenando Windows Live Writer, vamos a ver qué tal sale…

Today We’re Having Beads

I’m including a couple of sketches of beads and an earring that I made the other day while visiting my parents. I’ve been a little bit of a loafer (in painting…) lately because things are a little bit hectic at home due to the kids’ summer holidays and a few other reasons. It’s been sort of a miracle that I had the time to finish these (and one drawing that I will show later), you’ll have to forgive the simplicity this time. And I’m using Windows Live Writer for the first time, let’s see how it goes…

Nice little drawings, Carolina, I like the detail in them. I love simplicity - more please! ;)

WAY cool drawings! :-) I've been trying my colored pencils but I think that they aren't working. :-( OR, is it the hand that guides them? :-) I hope that the "hectic times and other reason" calm down and that you can make your art in peace.

As people said when I was MUCH younger "keep on keeping on". Life is all about CHOICES.

Saludos!

Hello Carolina,
Like a little drop of water, it is beautiful. The earring and bead have beauty in their simplicity, so lovely.
I just painted a single leaf and shadow, sometimes less is more.

I was confused when you said summer holiday, its so cold here,a little snow but so far from our summer! Forgetting you are in Peru.
Your pencil drawings are great, be happy.

¡Hola Manel!

Carolina

Hi Janet!
Thanks a lot, I'm so glad you like these little drawings. I was not sure to post them, but I didn't have anything else to show (well, actually I do, shells -again- but let's give them a little break)...
Thanks a lot again :)

Hi Ken!
Thank you so much, Ken :)
You make me smile (actually, I think these two new wrinkles over here are caused by you ;o) Thanks for your sweet wishes. Everything is OK, it's just all the normal things with the kids. School is only a month away so we're getting ready for that, and well, THE KIDS!
I'll keep on keeping on (I love that expression).
Best regards,
Carolina

Carolina

¡Hola Noemí!
Tú sí me comprendes jeje he estado aprovechando, exactamente.
Muchos saludos :)

Hi Milly!
Thank you so much for your comment :) Simple things are good for desperate times (desperate times because of the little time to paint and my need to finish something! These are 'desperate drawings').
I've been reading about the strong winter you're having all across the northern hemisphere (both in Europe and in the US), I just can't imagine how cold it must be (our winter in Lima hardly gets to 15°C = 59°F) and I've never seen snow in my life! (only ice and hail once)
Thanks again and lots of hugs,
Carolina

Carolina, great images. Sometimes simple is the better way to go and this is one of those times!

Well done!

Hi Liz!
Thank you so much for your sweet comments :) I visit my parents very frequently, we live in the same city, (only 15 minutes away...(!)
I just can't imagine snow... or how cold it must be (I think the closest I can think of is the freezer :)
Lots of hugs,
Carolina

Hi Wil!
I agree with you about simple things.... sometimes it's hard to keep it simple (in painting, in life...)
Thanks a lot for stopping by :)

Carolina
